Leeds United’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham has been preceded by a massive shock - leading to big changes in the competition’s odds and a potential huge new Whites chance.
Leeds will take on Premier League rivals West Ham in a 4.30pm kick-off at the London Stadium on Sunday as the Irons and Whites look to become the fourth and final team to seal their place in the competition’s semi-finals.
Manchester City took on Liverpool at the Etihad in the weekend’s first quarter-final on Saturday lunchtime and an Erling Haaland hat-trick helped Pep Guardiola’s side to an impressive 4-0 victory against the Reds.
Chelsea then faced League Two strugglers Port Vale at Stamford Bridge in Saturday’s teatime game and Vale were blitzed 7-0 as the Blues became the second heavyweight to put themselves into the semi-finals.
Premier League leaders Arsenal were then expected to follow suit in Saturday’s 8pm kick-off at Championship hosts Southampton but the in-form Saints pulled off an almighty shock in recording a 2-1 victory to dump the Gunners out of the competition.
It means that Leeds will face a one in three chance of facing Championship opponents for a place in the FA Cup final should Daniel Farke’s Whites manage to get past West Ham.
A semi-final against Southampton would also offer Leeds a huge chance for revenge for the Championship play-off final defeat to the Saints of May 2024.
With Arsenal gone, it’s all led to big changes in the odds to win the FA Cup and here is the full new rundown which features new red hot favourites.
