A recent Leeds United loanee is set to leave his parent club with Premier League and La Liga interest.
Young Argentina capped attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte joined Leeds on loan for the rest of the season from Brighton in January but the 21-year-old played just 82 minutes of football for the Whites in four outings.
After getting minutes from the bench in January’s Premier League games against Everton and Arsenal, Buonanotte was handed his sole start for Leeds in February’s FA Cup clash at Birmingham City but the 21-year-old struggled and was taken off at the break.
Buonanotte’s final outing for the Whites saw him get 12 minutes off the bench in the last game of the season at West Ham, after which he returned to Brighton where the attacker is contracted until the summer of 2028.
Buonanotte, though, as per transfers journalist Fabrizio Romano is now set to leave Brighton who have already received a formal approach from Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
Premier League and La Liga clubs are also said to be keen.
Taking to X, Romano wrote: “Facundo Buonanotte, set to leave Brighton with several clubs in talks to try advance. Schalke 04 already made formal approach plus Premier League and La Liga clubs also keen.”
