31 fantastic photos of Leeds United fans v Burnley with three generations from Norway and big queue

31 fantastic photos of Leeds United’s fans against Burnley.

Leeds United fans had the double whammy of a massive match and some rare warm weather on offer for their Friday night - and naturally made sure they were out on force.

United’s supporters knew that victory against Friday evening’s already relegated visitors Burnley would put the team on the brink of ensuring Premier League survival in kicking nine points clear of third-bottom Tottenham Hotspur.

It’s been a torrid season for Spurs but not for Leeds whose supporters returned to Elland Road on Friday for one last game under the LS11 lights this season, five days on from the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

In the bread and butter of the league, Friday’s fixture was unquestionably United’s biggest game of the season so far for which the club’s fans also had unusually warm weather as the temperature hovered around 25 degrees.

It meant many fans flocking to Elland Road in shorts and t-shirts as the ground turned into a brilliant sea of yellow, white and blue for an attendance of 36,265.

Here, via YEP photographer Steve Riding, are 31 fantastic photos of the club’s fans at the game including three generations from Norway, plenty of refreshing pint pics and a massive queue for Graveleys fish and chips.
