Leeds United welcome trio including key defenders back to training ahead of Fulham

Daniel Farke has provided a Leeds United team news update ahead of Fulham.

Leeds United have welcomed a trio of defenders back into training ahead of Saturday's game against Fulham.

Jayden Bogle's return to the pitch at Thorp Arch is a big boost for Daniel Farke, but the right-back was not alone in making a comeback this week.

Bogle picked up the calf injury in the wake of the Liverpool game, in which he was only a late substitute having been rested by Farke. The initial hope was that the right-back would miss little action but in the end he sat out the draw with Manchester United, the trip to Newcastle United and Sunday's FA Cup game against Derby County.

Farke also lost Sebastiaan Bornauw to an adductor problem at half-time in the cup game and kept Joe Rodon out as a precaution after he suffered cramp late on at Newcastle in his first game back from an ankle injury.

"It looks much better, they're all available," said Farke. "Sebastiaan better than expected and back in training yesterday, it was not too bad. He should be available if nothing happens. Joe Rodon is back in training, it was just a precaution. Gabi Gudmundsson had a much needed break, it was good for him to get a rest. Jayden Bogle back in training since yesterday."

Daniel James has been out with a hamstring tendon issue since the end of November. The Welsh international has missed eight Premier League games and the FA Cup third round tie. Farke says the winger's return, at least to training, is just around the corner.

"Dan James is not too far away from team training so at the moment it looks good," he added.
