Leeds United set to make Harry Gray decision amid reported interest
Leeds United have a decision to make on 17-year-old England youth international striker Harry Gray.
Leeds United are set to make a decision on young striker Harry Gray amid reports of interest from a pair of clubs.
Gray, 17, younger brother of Tottenham’s ex-Whites star Archie, got himself on to the fringes of United’s first team last year and made his Whites debut as a late substitute in April’s 6-0 thrashing of Championship visitors Stoke City at Elland Road.
The teenager then flew out with the first team squad for their pre-season training camp in Germany ahead of the club’s Premier League return, Gray then making the bench for the Premier League clash at Wolves and EFL Cup game at Sheffield Wednesday.
In order to gain experience of first team football, Gray was loaned to League One relegation-battlers Rotherham United in January for the rest of the season and the teenager made 20 appearances for the Millers, bagging three goals and one assist in 1767 minutes of football for them.
Football journalist Alan Nixon is now reporting that League One pair Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday are keen to sign Gray on loan for the forthcoming season and the YEP understands that the teen striker will likely head out on another loan spell but that the destination is yet to be decided.
