Big update on Leeds United-linked Harry Wilson emerges with decision made and fellow star available on a free

An in-demand Leeds United-linked attacker has been offered a new deal.

A star midfielder of Leeds United interest has been offered a new deal by his Premier League club but an international striker teammate is set to be available on a free.

Leeds tried to sign Fulham’s Wales attacking midfielder star Harry Wilson on January window deadline day but the late move for Wilson fell through as Fulham refused to sign off the deal.

Wilson’s current deal at Fulham expires this summer but the Cottagers have offered the 29-year-old a new contract, revealed by the club on Monday in a player contracts update.

Raul Jimenez, though, has not been given a new deal and the Mexico international striker will now become a free agent this summer as he leaves the club upon his contract expiring.

An update from Fulham FC on Monday afternoon read: "We can today confirm the players who are out of contract this month and are therefore expected to leave the Club on 30 June 2026.

“Expiring contracts - Raúl Jiménez, Steven Benda, Devan Tanton, Bradley De Jesus, Ollie Gofford, Charlie Robinson, Joseph Walters, Tom Wingate, Callum Cliff, Marcell Hall, Ruban Khan, Oliver Mayer, Harley Platel, Quinn Schutter.

"Regarding Men’s First Team appearances, Raúl Jiménez has played a vital role during his three years at Fulham, scoring 31 times, Steven Benda made four appearances in cup competitions prior to heading out on loan this year, while Academy graduate Devan Tanton was given his senior debut in a Carabao Cup victory over Ipswich Town in November 2023.

“We would like to thank every player for their service and efforts during their time at Fulham, and wish them the best of luck during the next chapters of their career. For Charlie Robinson, that journey will continue at Motspur Park where he will begin his coaching career, following his retirement from playing.

"Professional contract offer - Harry Wilson, Samuel Amissah, Jonathan Esenga, Michael Allen, Chibby Nwoko, Tom Olyott, Jayden Quashie, Olly Sanderson.
