Jaka Bijol makes Leeds United missing declaration in Manchester United draw verdict with admission
Jaka Bijol starred for Leeds United against Manchester United but his side had to settle for a point.
Jaka Bijol made a Leeds United missing declaration with a not so satisfied Leeds United verdict following Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Elland Road.
Summer signing Bijol was handed his ninth Premier League start in Sunday’s visit of the Red Devils and the Slovenian put in a particularly impressive first half display to help shut out Ruben Amorim’s side.
After a goalless first half, Brenden Aaronson then fired Leeds ahead in the 62nd minute but Manchester United equalised just four minutes later through Matheus Cunha whose goal ultimately gave Amorim’s side a 1-1 draw.
Speaking post match to LUTV, Bijol admitted that his side were “not so satisfied” despite taking a point against the Red Devils and declared that Leeds paid the price for “something missing” against their arch rivals.
Bijol was asked how it felt to have drawn the game and reasoned: “So so I would say.
“I think we are not so satisfied with this draw today, I think we wanted to win.
"I think we felt like before the match that we could win this game, we had the right energy and everything.
"But we were missing today a little bit on the pitch, a little something more and it showed in the result in the end."
