Alan Smith gives thumbs up to Leeds United transfer target with Everton game score prediction
Alan Smith has given his thoughts on a Leeds United transfer target.
Ex-Arsenal star Alan Smith has given the thumbs up to a Leeds United transfer target and Everton game score prediction.
Leeds have made an enquiry for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen this month as they look provide competition and cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in the club’s quest for Premier League survival.
Crystal Palace are now being heavily linked with a move for Strand Larsen who Smith feels has more to offer as a Premier League footballer amid Wolves’ troubled at the bottom of the table.
Despite results recently improving, the Molineux outfit remain 14 points adrift of safety and Smith feels the club are already down and that Strand Larsen could definitely “do a job” for another Premier League side.
“I think he could do a job”
United’s next Premier League assignment takes them to Everton on Monday night where Smith feels a single goal could be decisive as he predicted a 1-0 win for David Moyes’ hosts.
Speaking to BestBettingSites.co.uk, Smith was asked about Strand Larsen and his links to Leeds and reasoned: “I think Wolves, they’re down, aren’t they, really? And they’ll be making plans for life in the Championship. And obviously, players’ wages, the finances play a big part in that.
“It might be that Strand Larsen is for sale, since he is probably their most saleable asset. I do like him. I think he could do a job somewhere in the Premier League, in a team that’s faring a bit better than Wolves have been. So, that would be an interesting one because I think there’s more to come from Strand Larsen in the Premier League.”
Casting his prediction for Monday night’s clash at Everton, Smith said: “I think it’ll be a tight game. Not many goals. But I’m going to go 1-0 to Everton.”
