When is Leeds United vs Liverpool? Date and UK kick-off for final friendly in America with new time difference
Details for Leeds United’s final pre-season friendly in America against Liverpool.
Leeds United will end their pre-season tour of America with a final USA friendly against Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool side - but when is it and what is the UK kick-off time?
Daniel Farke’s Whites bagged their first win of the summer with a 1-0 victory against Sunderland in their second friendly of three in America in the early hours of Friday morning UK time.
The triumph in New Jersey thanks to Lukas Nmecha’s early strike followed the previous weekend’s 3-2 loss to Championship outfit Wrexham in Tampa.
The games against Sunderland and Wrexham both caused confusion in terms of the UK date and kick-off time due to starting at 7.30pm local time in the States.
With a five hour time difference in both Tampa and New Jersey, that meant both games actually kicked off the following day UK time with 12.30am starts.
Six-hour time difference this time
There are, though, no complications on that front with the final friendly against Liverpool on Sunday in Chicago which is a 3pm start local time at Soldier Field.
With a six-hour time difference this time, that means that Leeds will face the Reds in a 9pm kick-off on Sunday evening UK time.
Thereafter, Leeds will return home ahead of three more friendlies including two at Elland Road, starting with the following Saturday’s hosting of RB Leipzig in a 2pm start.
The Whites will then travel to Dublin to face Manchester United at Croke Park on Wednesday, August 12 before returning to Elland Road for the final friendly of the summer on Saturday, August 15 against FC Augsburg in a 3pm start.
United will then begin the Premier League season the following weekend with a 3pm kick-off at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, August 22.
