Lucas Perri makes personal Leeds United declaration with incredible take on 'three in four' Whites occasion
Lucas Perri got another taste of Elland Road under the lights in Wednesday’s 3-1 win against Chelsea.
Whites keeper Lucas Perri has made a personal Leeds United declaration with an incredible take of a Whites occassion.
Just over four months on from joining Leeds from Lyon, Perri made his ninth Leeds start in Wednesday evening’s Premier League hosting of Chelsea which marked a fourth game of the season under the Elland Road lights.
Perri’s Whites debut also came in a night time kick-off at LS11 through the opening weekend visit of Everton in which a late Lukas Nmecha penalty sealed a 1-0 success for Daniel Farke’s side.
“Incredible”
After a goalless draw against Newcastle United in a 5.30pm kick-off at Elland Road, another home fixture under the lights yielded another big win last month as Farke’s side beat West Ham United 2-1 in an 8pm start.
Wednesday’s hosting of Chelsea started even later with an 8.15pm kick-off but with the same conclusion as Leeds recorded a brilliant 3-1 success against the title-chasing Blues in another memorable night under the Elland Road lights.
United’s record now stands at three wins and a draw from four such games at LS11 so far this season - Perri hailing the atmosphere created as “incredible” and declaring his personal pride at being part of the Whites.
Taking to his Instagram page, Perri wrote: “Proud to be part of this team. Elland Road under the lights is incredible.”
