How to watch Leeds United vs Man Utd for free: Kick-off time, TV and stream details for pre-season clash
All the key details ahead of Leeds United’s pre-season meeting with Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Leeds United have just two more games to finalise their preparations for the 2026/27 Premier League season - the first of which takes them to Dublin. The Whites face old rivals Manchester United this week in a clash that is expected to be anything but friendly.
Daniel Farke’s side have won their last three friendlies, all against top-flight opposition, the most recent being a 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig at Elland Road. Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha came in a game consisting of two 60-minute halves.
This week’s meeting with Manchester United will no doubt carry extra needle and represents another important chapter in Leeds’ pre-season. Below, the YEP rounds up all the key information you need to know ahead of kick-off...
When is Leeds United vs Man Utd?

Leeds’ penultimate pre-season friendly takes place on Wednesday August 12. Kick-off is at 7.30pm BST, with those late-night games from America a thing of the past.
It’s set to be a massive occasion too, with the 82,000-capacity Croke Park completely sold out. It’s the first time the stadium - generally used for Gaelic games - has hosted a football match since 2009.
Is Leeds United vs Man Utd on TV?
Unusually for pre-season friendlies, particularly ones of such high profile, tonight’s game is actually on free-to-air TV in the UK. The Croke Park clash will be shown live on ITV1, with build-up getting underway at 7pm - half an hour before kick-off.
Like other friendlies this summer, the game will also be shown on Premier Sports 2 although subscribing costs £12.99 per month with a minimum 12-month term or £17.99 per month without the fixed contract. Premier Sports 2 is channel number 529 on Virgin and 435 on Sky.
Can I stream Leeds United vs Man Utd?
Alongside their TV offering, ITV will be streaming build-up and the game on their ITVX website and app. These streaming options will also be free to air.
Those looking to catch the action from a purely Leeds lens can stream the game via LUTV. The easiest option for fans is to purchase a match pass via LUTV, which can be bought for £5 HERE.
Leeds have confirmed you cannot live stream tonight’s match with just a monthly or yearly LUTV subscription, with the pay-per-view pass needed for each individual friendly. You don’t need to be an LUTV subscriber already to buy the one-off pass.
