Huge fresh Leeds United backing with only Erling Haaland and fellow Man City ace rated superior threats

Leeds United have received fresh big backing for Saturday’s visit of Manchester City.

Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has received particularly big backing for Saturday’s visit of Manchester City against an array of attacking stars from Pep Guardiola’s side.

Leeds and City will lock horns for the second time this season in Saturday evening’s 5.30pm kick-off at Elland Road in a huge game at both ends of the Premier League table.

A victory for City would take them just two points behind leaders Arsenal and the bookmakers have made Guardiola’s visitors odds-on favourites although not ridiculously short in being as big as 8-13 with some firms.

Backed by their very strong home record, Leeds are no bigger than 22-5 and generally 4-1 with most firms. The draw is on offer at 7-2.

It is, though, the backing for Leeds striker Calvert-Lewin that is the most notable feature of the pre-match betting market, the Whites no 9 third favourite in the anytime scorer market ahead of stars such as Omar Marmoush, Phil Foden, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki.

Haaland odds-on

Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo are the only two City stars seen as superior threats to Calvert-Lewin although Haaland is odds-on to score at a best-priced 4-5 and as short as 4-7 with some firms.

Semenyo is then 15-8, just ahead of Calvert-Lewin at 9-4, the Whites no 9 shorter in the betting than Marmoush who is 23-10 and Foden at 13-5.

Two more Leeds players in Joel Piroe (7-2) and Lukas Nmecha (18-5) are next, ahead of City pair Reijnders (15-4) and Cherki (4s).

In further Leeds backing, the bookies think that a 1-1 draw is just as likely as a 2-1 victory for the visitors, both eventualities 8-1 joint-favourite in the correct score market.

A 2-0 win for City and a 1-0 success for the visitors is next at 17-2. Leeds can be backed at 16-1 to record a 1-0 success.
