Leeds United receiving huge fresh backing for Manchester United visit to Elland Road

Leeds United face arch rivals Manchester United in a Sunday lunchtime at Elland Road.

Leeds United are receiving huge fresh backing for Sunday’s massive visit of Manchester United to Elland Road as a new big Whites boost is eyed.

Daniel Farke’s Whites and Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils will lock horns for the first time this season in Sunday’s 12.30pm kick-off at LS11, ahead of which the two teams are at opposite ends of the Premier League table.

Despite the disappointment of Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at home to Wolves, Amorim’s side sit sixth, ten places and nine points better off than the fifth-bottom Whites.

Leeds, though, are one of the division’s most in-form sides having gone six games unbeaten and the bookies are now giving them huge fresh backing for Sunday’s visit of the Red Devils.

Whites overtake Amorim’s side

Manchester United were made only marginal favourites as betting for the game opened but the Whites have now overtaken Amorim’s side as the likeliest winners of the contest according to the odds.

With home advantage to call on, Leeds are now no bigger than 13-8 favourites but as short as 6-4 with some firms. Manchester United, meanwhile, can now be backed at 9-5 whilst the draw is on offer at 5-2.

Leeds are also responsible for the favourite in the first scorer market in Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 11-2, ahead of Manchester United’s Matheus Cunha and Leeds forward Joel Piroe who are both 13-2.

Benjamin Sesko is next at 7s just ahead of another Whites man in Lukas Nmecha at 15-2.

In a fairly tight market, a 1-1 draw is clear favourite in the correct score market at 6-1 but the next two eventualities are both Leeds wins with both a 1-0 Whites success and 2-1 triumph on offer at 10-1.
