Leeds United are back at Elland Road this weekend with Newcastle United the visitors on Saturday evening. Daniel Farke’s side have lost their last two games across all competitions but return to LS11, where less than two weeks ago they comprehensively outplayed Everton to win 1-0.
Farke will be without two starters from that opening-weekend victory, with midfield pair Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka both suffering knee injuries. There are also fresh concerns surrounding £18million summer signing Noah Okafor, who played 84 minutes against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.
Visitors Newcastle have a raft of injury issues to contend with as well, and the ongoing saga surrounding on-striker No.9 Alexander Isak. Below, the YEP has all the latest injury and team news from both sides following Farke’s Thursday afternoon press conference.

1. Fabian Schar - out
Howe said on Monday his centre-back suffered a concussion during Monday's defeat to Liverpool and that would rule him out. FA rules state players can not return for 12 days if they do suffer concussion. | Getty Images

2. Alexander Isak - out
Yet to feature for Newcastle this season, having gone on strike in a bid to force through a move to Liverpool. Almost certain to miss out and even if he U-turns before Saturday, fitness would be an obvious issue. | Getty Images

3. Anthony Gordon - out
The winger, who had been filling in a No.9 in Isak's absence, was shown a straight red card vs Liverpool after a rash challenge on Virgil van Dijk. He will now serve a three-match ban, the first of which comes at Elland Road on Saturday. | Getty Images

4. Joelinton
Forced off during Monday's defeat against Liverpool with what looked like a groin injury. Howe admitted after full-time it 'doesn't look good' and so Joelinton is a major doubt for Saturday. A fresh update expected when Howe speaks to the media tomorrow morning. | Getty Images

5. Sandro Tonali - doubt
Also forced off on Monday, this time with a shoulder injury. Howe revealed after full-time the midfielder could barely move his arm, and he is therefore a major doubt. Another update likely to come tomorrow morning. | Getty Images

6. Ethan Ampadu - out
Missed Leeds' last two games after picking up a knee injury vs Everton and is expected to remain out until after the international break. Has not been named in the Wales squad. | Getty Images
