Leeds United face another quick return to action with Wednesday night’s clash against Newcastle United at St James’ Park - but blows have left six men out and four more as doubts.
Both teams have tight turnarounds for the fixture with both having played on Sunday, Leeds two and a half hours earlier through their lunchtime kick-off against Roses rivals Manchester United at Elland Road which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Newcastle then took on Crystal Palace at St James’ Park in a 3pm kick-off and recorded a 2-0 victory that saw Eddie Howe’s side climb up to ninth.
The Magpies welcomed back key men for the visit of the Eagles but a key Leeds ace will now be back for the Wednesday night fixture for which six men are out and four more are doubts.
Here, we run through the early injury news from both camps.

1. BACK: Sean Longstaff
Whites midfielder Longstaff returned earlier than expected from his calf injury to make the bench for Sunday’s clash against Manchester United at Elland Road. The midfielder was an unused substitute and named amongst the substitutes mainly due to the other absentees and for his experience in the dressing room. Farke, though, has said there is now a chance that Longstaff could get some minutes against his former club, not as a starter but from the bench. A big boost. | Getty Images

Another huge Leeds boost, club captain Ampadu now back available from suspension having served a one-match ban on Sunday for amassing five yellow cards before the cut off point. | Getty Images

3. BACK: Tino Livramento
Magpies full-back Livramento made his return from a three-match absence with a knee injury as a second-half substitute in Sunday's win against Palace. | Getty Images

4. BACK: Kieran Trippier
Newcastle's experienced England-capped full-back Trippier has been out since November with a thigh injury but returned to the bench for Sunday's win against Palace. Back fit and available for selection. | Getty Images

5. BACK: Sven Botman
Newcastle's commanding Dutch centre-half Botman has also been since November - in his case with a hamstring injury - but he too returned to the bench for the first time against Palace. Like Trippier, the 25-year-old was an unused sub but he too is now fit and available for selection. | Getty Images

6. OUT: Anthony Elanga
A fresh blow of sorts for Newcastle as it was thought that £55m pacy winger summer signing Elanga was close to returning from a knee injury. Boss Howe, though, said at Tuesday's pre-match press conference that his return was taking a bit longer than expected and that Elanga was not quite ready yet. | Getty Images
