Leeds United news live: Early Chelsea injury blow as Whites defender 'considered' by Arsenal
The latest Leeds United news throughout the day on Monday September 7.
Leeds United extended their unbeaten run to four matches across all competitions with a 1-1 draw at Brighton on Saturday.
Jayden Bogle opened the scoring inside 15 minutes as Leeds started strongly at the Amex Stadium. But Brighton improved after half-time and got their leveller through a 71st-minute Luka Vuskovic header.
The point leaves Leeds ninth in the Premier League at this early juncture, with five points from three games. The Whites are also in the third round of the Carabao Cup after beating Nottingham Forest last month.

Their third round clash takes place on Wednesday this week, with Daniel Farke’s side heading to Chelsea. Xabi Alonso’s side have six points from their opening three league games but lost 2-1 at Arsenal on Sunday.
Midfielder Moises Caicedo remains a big injury doubt for Wednesday’s cup clash after missing that trip to the Emirates. Alonso insisted he will not rush the Ecuadorian back despite a shortage of midfield options.
The transfer window closed last week and Leeds welcomed two deadline day arrivals through the door to finish the summer strongly. Melvin Bard and Jean-Matteo Bahoya became signings number six and seven respectively.
But in the aftermath of the window closing, it’s reports surrounding an early-summer arrival that have caught the eye. According to BBC Sport, Whites defender Tarik Muharemovic was on the radar of Premier League champions Arsenal.
The Bosnian is believed to have been ‘considered’ by Arsenal in their search for defensive reinforcements following an injury to William Saliba. The Gunners eventually agreed a deal worth up to £55million for Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.
