Leeds United getting fresh support for Nottingham Forest visit with strong Whites backing
An enormous clash against key rivals Nottingham Forest now awaits Leeds United under the Friday night Elland Road lights.
Leeds United are receiving fresh support for Friday night’s enormous Elland Road visit of Nottingham Forest - with strong backing from the bookies.
Fifth-bottom Leeds and fourth-bottom Forest are now locked together on 26 points in the battle for Premier League survival after United’s 4-0 weekend defeat to Arsenal and Forest’s 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace.
The two teams even have identical goal differences, Daniel Farke’s Whites ahead only ahead of Sean Dyche’s side in the table by virtue of goals scored.
Both sides are six points clear of third-bottom West Ham but the Hammers visit second-bottom Burnley on Saturday knowing they will be guaranteed a chance to make some sort of ground due to Leeds and Forest playing each other in an 8pm kick-off on Friday evening under the Elland Road lights.
The bookies, though, have issued fresh support for Leeds who they fancy to beat Dyche’s Reds despite the visiting team’s recent run of form.
Strong Whites call amid good Forest run
Forest are unbeaten from their last four league games via a 2-1 win at West Ham, goalless draw at home to Arsenal, 2-0 win at Brentford and most recently Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Palace.
The bookies, though, have made Leeds strong favourites to condemn Forest to a first league defeat in five, making a big call in pricing Leeds up at no bigger than 5-4 but as short as 6-5 with some firms,
Despite their good recent form, Forest can be backed at 12-5 to leave Elland Road with a victory whist the draw is on offer at 9-4.
The Whites are also responsible for the game’s favourite in the anytime scorer market in Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 7-4, just ahead of teammate Joel Piroe at 21-10.
Three Forest attackers are next in Igor Jesus (13-5), Taiwo Awoniyi (13-5) and January window signing Lorenzo Lucca (11-4).
