Big Leeds United changes v Forest, West Ham in new Opta predicted final Premier League table upon Everton draw

Data experts Opta’s new predicted final Premier League table after Leeds United’s draw at Everton.

Leeds United’s gap back to the dropzone is smaller than it was - and data experts Opta have it changing again in their new predicted final Premier League table and points.

Daniel Farke’s Whites began the weekend eight points clear of the relegation zone but third-bottom West Ham slashed the gap down to five points through Saturday lunchtime’s 3-1 win at home to Sunderland.

Leeds also started Game Week 23 sat three points ahead of fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest but Sean Dyche’s side then wiped out that difference with Sunday’s 2-0 win at Brentford.

It meant Leeds needed a victory from Monday night’s clash at Everton to re-establish an eight-point gap back to West Ham and three-point margin back to Forest and Farke’s side were on course to do so upon being 1-0 up from a dominant first-half display against the Toffees.

Everton, though, ultimately fought back to claim a 1-1 draw which has left Leeds six points clear of the bottom three and just one point above Forest but also within hailing distance of stuttering Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.

Victory for Leeds at Everton would have taken them level on points with both teams but even the draw has left United just two points behind them.

Data experts Opta, though, are forecasting big changes in the current Leeds gaps in their new predicted final table and points unveiled on the back of the 1-1 draw at Everton.

Here, in reverse order, is the full new rundown.
