Strong Leeds United call vs West Ham, Forest, Sunderland in Opta's new predicted final Premier League table

Where data experts Opta think Leeds United will now finish and with how many points.

Leeds United are swinging into Christmas on the back of a brilliant win against Crystal Palace - and data experts Opta have made a strong fresh Whites call in their new predicted final Premier League table and points.

Leeds lined up for Saturday evening’s hosting of highflying Palace sat fourth-bottom and three points clear of the dropzone following the previous weekend’s 1-1 draw at Brentford.

Ahead of Leeds facing Palace, third-bottom West Ham had the chance to make ground in Saturday afternoon’s tall order clash at Manchester City but Erling Haaland again did the business as Pep Guardiola’s side eased to a 3-0 success.

The fresh blow for the Irons left them three points behind Leeds but having played a game more and the Whites then inflicted more pain on the Hammers by battering Palace en route to a brilliant 4-1 win at Elland Road.

The victory saw Leeds kick six points clear of the third-bottom Hammers and also overtake Nottingham Forest who now sit fourth-bottom and a point behind Leeds ahead of Monday night’s huge clash at 15th-placed Fulham.

The Cottagers themselves are just one point ahead of Farke’s Whites, albeit Forest and Fulham have played a game less.

Nevertheless, it’s looking much rosier for Leeds after a weekend which saw another fresh blow for marooned Wolves at the bottom of the table through Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Brentford.

Second-bottom Burnley, meanwhile, got themselves a point through a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth although the Clarets are still seven points from safety and eight behind the Whites.

Following the weekend’s results, data experts Opta have now produced their predicted final Premier League table and points which features a strong Whites call in the club’s quest for survival.

Here, in reverse order, is the full new rundown.
