Leeds United’s first pre-season friendly ended in a 3-2 defeat to Championship side Wrexham in America - but how did we rate the players?
Leeds found themselves 1-0 down after just 31 seconds as Kieffer Moore finished off a rapid Wrexham break and United blew the chance to equalise from the spot as Joel Piroe’s penalty bounced back off the post.
Piroe then drew Leeds level with a tap in from a Sean Longstaff cross yet Wrexham went back infront through Bailey Cadamarteri who found himself in on goal after Joe Rodon failed to win a tackle on halfway.
Leeds then drew level for a second time in the 45th minute through a neat finish from Longstaff and his strike looked set to prove the final goal of the game.
Yet more poor defending cost Leeds in the 86th minute, the Whites losing the ball on halfway and Sam Smith able to charge into the box and evade a couple of tackles before firing past Lucas Perri.
Chief football writer Graham Smyth hands out the scores from the 3-2 defeat at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
