Leeds United rounded off their pre-season tour of the US with a comeback 4-2 win against Liverpool on Sunday. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s brace plus strikes from Brenden Aaronson and Sean Longstaff saw Daniel Farke’s side come from two goals down to claim victory.
The Whites endured a difficult opening 45 minutes, with Luke Chambers and Florian Wirtz both scoring from similar positions free inside the Leeds box. Gabriel Gudmundsson was also forced off with an injury after initially falling awkwardly from a nasty-looking accidental collision.
Farke made four changes at the break and they paid dividends, with substitutes Brenden Aaronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulling Leeds level at 2-2 before the former set up Sean Longstaff to complete a quickfire turnaround. Calvert-Lewin then grabbed his second and Leeds’ fourth, meeting another long throw at the back post.
