Leeds United kick off their pre-season tour of the United States later this month with a July 25 game against Wrexham in Tampa, Florida getting things underway. Daniel Farke and his squad will head across the Atlantic Ocean for what’s set to be an exciting couple of weeks, with matches against Sunderland and Liverpool also scheduled.
Farke might be without a number of first-team regulars for the start of that trip, should World Cup participants Gabriel Gudmundsson, Ao Tanaka, Brenden Aaronson and Noah Okafor be enjoying a well-earned rest. The Whites boss might also be bedding in a new arrival or two.
Leeds are expected to announce the signing of Harry Wilson shortly and the Welshman’s debut could indeed come against Wrexham in just two-and-a-half weeks. Below, the YEP takes a look at what Farke’s team might look like for that pre-season opener.

7. CM: Ethan Ampadu
Fresh off the back of penning a new four-year deal, Ampadu will start as he means to go on against Wrexham. The Welshman is Farke's main man on the pitch. | Matt McNulty/Getty Images

8. CM: Anton Stach
Missed out on a Germany call-up and might have watched their round-of-32 exit against Paraguay with a wry smile. Has instead spent his time off making YouTube videos - of course he has. Another big season awaits and Jurgen Klopp will be watching. | Getty Images

9. LWB: James Justin
Ideally Justin would be in the back three, probably on the right, but with first-time father Gabriel Gudmundsson only recently exiting the World Cup, he'll still be eligible to be on holiday come July 25. Sam Byram is also no longer a Leeds player as things stand, leaving little room to manoeuvre across the defensive unit. | Getty Images

10. RW: Harry Wilson
With Leeds expected to announce Wilson's move imminently, he should have plenty of time to get used to his new surroundings before a debut against his boyhood club, no less. Brenden Aaronson spent most of last season on the right but only just exited the World Cup and could still be on his holidays. | Getty Images

11. LW: Wilfried Gnonto
It remains to be seen if Gnonto will be playing for Leeds next season but he's a part of Farke's squad right now and unless anything changes rapidly, will be in two-and-a-half weeks. Left-wing regular Noah Okafor is likely to be resting, with Switzerland still in the World Cup and facing Colombia in the last-16 tonight. | Getty Images

12. ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Missed out on an England World Cup spot and will instead be spending the summer break with his wife and daughter. Leeds will hope he can hit the ground running in 2026/27 after a full pre-season. | Getty Images
