Leeds United face a quick return to action as their Carabao Cup involvement begins at Sheffield Wednesday - and this is how we think the Whites will line up.
Just three days after being blitzed 5-0 at Premier League hosts Arsenal, Daniel Farke’s Whites face crisis club Wednesday in the Carabao Cup second round.
As part of a busy week, Leeds will then return to action in the Premier League just four days later with the Saturday evening visit of Newcastle United to Elland Road.
With Premier League survival the clear and obvious priority, Whites boss Farke has already declared that there will be more changes than would usually be the case against the Owls.
All told, we can see him making nine of them and this is the XI that we think he will send out for Tuesday night’s 8pm kick-off under the Hillsborough lights.

7. CM: Sean Longstaff
Longstaff was eventually called into action in the 66th minute at Arsenal as Tanaka was taken off after MCL problems. With doubts about Tanaka and Ampadu also out, Longstaff looks a banker to start for his full debut. A third full debut. | Getty Images

8. ACM: Brenden Aaronson
Farke has moved to a three-man centre midfield this season but it might be that he starts the more attacking Aaronson as the third midfielder at Hillsborough due to Ampadu being injured and Tanaka a doubt, the very important Anton Stach therefore getting a rest. Might feel like a risk to start him with centre midfield options suddenly now light. | Getty Images

9. LW: Noah Okafor
£18m new signing Okafor feels like a big player to be bringing into an early League Cup tie and that could be deemed a risk but Farke will likely be keen to get minutes into the Swiss new boy and the Whites boss has already said that the game looks to offer a good chance for the new signings. Likely to start then and a fourth full debut. | Getty Images

10. RW: Jack Harrison
Harrison has yet to bag a start since his Leeds return from two seasons on loan at Everton but that looks set to change at Hillsborough as Farke shuffles his pack, especially with Largie Ramazani set to join Valencia on loan. If Okafor starts on the left then Harrison on the right wing looks likely although Farke mentioned Harrison as a full back option after the defeat at Arsenal so an outing in that role would not be a great surprise. | Getty Images

11. ST: Lukas Nmecha
It's half tempting to think young Harry Gray might get a start at Hillsborough but he hasn't even made the bench this season yet so a place amongst the subs looks more likely. Ditto for fellow youngsters like Sam Chambers and Rhys Chadwick. Also, summer signing Nmecha is another one of the players needing minutes and it seems very likely that he will come in for Piroe for another full debut, fellow new striker signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin perhaps making the bench for the first time as he continues to gain fitness.
