Leeds United return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host Newcastle United at Elland Road. Daniel Farke’s side will be desperate to put Wednesday’s 6-3 Carabao Cup defeat to Chelsea behind them and continue their impressive start to the league season.
The Whites have five points from their opening three games, as do opponents Newcastle who are higher in the league on goal difference. Farke will be without the injured Joe Rodon for Monday’s clash but a host of key players are expected to return to the starting-XI.
With that in mind, the YEP has attempted to predict how Farke could line his Whites side up on Monday night. Take a look below...

7. CM: Ethan Ampadu
The third ever-present alongside Justin and Muharemovic, Ampadu more than anyone will have been gutted to lose so heavily at Chelsea. Let's hope that frustration is channelled into a dominant midfield performance come Monday. | Steve Riding

8. CM: Ao Tanaka
Leeds have been at their best this season with an extra body in midfield, particularly with new signing Harry Wilson not yet firing. The inclusion of Tanaka should give Leeds an upper-hand in that key area. A third body in the middle should help manage counter-attacks as well. | Getty Images

9. CM: Anton Stach
The most advanced of the midfield three, or at least the one with most license to burst forward and win loose balls higher up the pitch. It's not been an electric start to the season from Stach but we know how he can run a game when on it. Free-kick quality will be useful in a tight game too. | Getty Images

10. LWB: Gabriel Gudmundsson
Back from injury and wasted no time at Chelsea producing one of those trademark runs into the box. Needs to do better at stopping crosses or dribblers come Monday, however, particularly with Anthony Elanga to keep quiet. | Luke Walker/Getty Images

11. ST: Noah Okafor
A chance for Okafor to feel the love of Elland Road after his decision to step down from the Swiss national team. Get at the Newcastle defence and Leeds fans will have no issue showing him how much he's valued. | Steve Riding Photo: Steve Riding

12. ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Took all of nine minutes to grab his goal off the bench at Chelsea and put in a good physical shift. Won't get much change out of Malick Thiaw and Sven Botman on Monday, but will no doubt make it a key battle area. | Steve Riding Photo: Steve Riding
