Leeds United’s 2026/27 Premier League campaign gets underway tomorrow with a trip to Nottingham Forest to kick things off. Daniel Farke’s side head to the City Ground having won four of their six pre-season games, the latter a 4-0 thumping of German side FC Augsburg last weekend.
Farke will be without a couple of important players on Saturday, with wing-back Gabriel Gudmundsson and winger Willy Gnonto both sidelined with muscle injuries. But the Whites boss confirmed on Thursday everyone else will be available, including recent centre-back arrival Nico Elvedi.
The Swiss international will be one of four new transfers eyeing a competitive debut, albeit the other three are much further along in settling into their new environment. And with that in mind, the YEP has attempted to predict how Farke could line his Leeds side up at the City Ground.

2. GK: James Trafford
A first of what will likely be three competitive debuts for Leeds, Trafford is as close to a guaranteed starter on Saturday as you could get. Forest will be a good early test for the shot-stopper. | Niall Carson/PA Wire

3. CB: Joe Rodon
The Welshman will no doubt be full of confidence fresh off the back of signing a new four-year contract. Has taken up some very interesting attacking positions in pre-season and could cause Forest a few problems in that area. | Getty Images

4. CB: Jaka Bijol
Had to wait until October 24 for his first Premier League appearance last season but there will be no such delay this time round. Expect another big season from the Slovenian, who last week was named as one of four vice-captains. | Getty Images
5. CB: Tarik Muharemovic
Competitive debut number two, with Muharemovic already looking settled following his £34m arrival from Sassuolo. Saturday will be a big test, however, as his first taste of Premier League football. Another one of those bicycle kicks wouldn't go amiss. | Steve Riding Photo: Steve Riding

6. RWB: Jayden Bogle
Followed Rodon in signing a new four-year deal on Thursday and will be equally full of energy heading into the new season. Already starting to combine well with new arrival Harry Wilson, who he knew from Derby County days of course.
