Leeds United's next 5 Premier League fixtures compared to relegation rivals after Sunderland defeat

Leeds United were unable to take advantage of their dominance at Elland Road.

Leeds United endured another frustrating night at Elland Road on Tuesday as they lost 1-0 against Sunderland. Habib Diarra’s penalty proved the decider after Ethan Ampadu was penalised for a handball following a VAR review, although the Whites should have had a first-half spot-kick when Luke O’Nien wrestled Pascal Struijk to the floor.

Defeat leaves Leeds three places and six points clear of West Ham United, who travel to Fulham for their game in hand on Wednesday. Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur are also in action later this week, against Manchester City and Crystal Palace respectively.

After all those games have been played, Leeds will be somewhere between six and three points from the bottom three. Below, the YEP takes a look at how the next few weeks will pan out for Farke’s side and their rivals after this full round of fixtures is played.
