Leeds United enjoyed a welcome break from the Premier League on Sunday as they beat Derby County 3-1 in the FA Cup third round. Goals from Willy Gnonto, Ao Tanaka and James Justin capped off a professional second-half performance in which Daniel Farke’s side came from 1-0 down to book their fourth-round spot.
They’ll face Birmingham City in the next round but immediate focus inside Elland Road is now back on the Premier League, with Leeds hoping this week to extend their eight-point gap on 18th-placed West Ham. The Whites also have Nottingham Forest below them in the table, although just one point separates the pair.
Leeds are due back at Elland Road this weekend and welcome one of the Premier League’s in-form outfits for what looks set to be an intriguing clash. Below, the YEP takes a look at how the next few weeks will pan out for Farke’s side as they look to edge closer towards safety.
