Leeds United extended their unbeaten run to seven matches following Sunday’s hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United. Brenden Aaronson’s brilliant 62nd-minute opener was quickly cancelled out by the dangerous Matheus Cunha with the spoils shared in a relatively even clash.
A third straight draw leaves Leeds two place and eight points clear of 18th-placed West Han, who lost at Wolves on Saturday, while fellow relegation rivals Burnley and Nottingham Forest both endured defeats. Just above the main pack, Bournemouth were also beaten by title favourites Arsenal.
While Leeds might feel they could have taken all three points, this weekend is another in which they have increased the gap above them while climbing closer to those above. But the big games keep coming for Daniel Farke’s side and below are their next five fixtures compared to the rest of the division.
