Leeds United have been warned ahead of their second season back in the Premier League - four years on from a season that so nearly ended in relegation in the second year back in the big time.
Daniel Farke’s Whites ultimately survived their first season back in the country’s top flight in comfortable enough fashion, Leeds safe with three games to go and ending up in 14th place, eight points clear of the drop zone.
Farke, though, has already signalled a warning about what the club must now do this summer in order to avoid the mistakes of yesteryear.
Under legendary promotion winning former boss Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds stormed to a ninth-placed finish on their Premier League return in 2020-21 but the following season so nearly ended in relegation. Only a final day win at Brentford kept Leeds up but the the club were relegated anyway the following season.
This summer’s recruitment will clearly be key so who did Leeds sign last time around and who left? Here, we run through the summer spend of 2021 ahead of the club’s second season back in the Premier League and the star men who left.
