Former Leeds United player from 2022-23 Premier League team seals €6m transfer to new side

A former Leeds United player from the last Premier League era is on the move for €6m.

Former Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen has sealed his second move since leaving the Whites in a €6m deal.

Danish international right back Kristensen joined Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg for £10m back in June 2022 but the defender was one of several Whites players to leave the club the following summer after relegation to the Championship.

Kristensen joined AS Roma on a season-long loan and then moved to Eintracht Frankfurt the following summer, initially on loan but with a view to making the move permanent.

Kristensen sealed his permanent move to the German team in May 2025 - finally ending his association with the Whites - but the defender is now on the move again back to his native homeland.

As per transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, the right-back has sealed a €6m move to FC Midtjylland which has been motivated by personal reasons.

Plettenberg adds that Eintracht have respected the player’s wishes and that a medical has already been completed.
