Leeds United remain in active talks with Wolves over Jorgen Strand Larsen after lodging an official bid this week. As reported by the Telegraph, Elland Road chiefs are the first to table an offer for the Norwegian and have seemingly received enough encouragement to continue their transfer pursuit.
Competition for Strand Larsen is only expected to intensify between now and the February 2 transfer deadline, while Wolves’ reported £40million will be difficult to meet given Leeds are up against it in PSR terms. But should they manage to get a deal over the line, the Whites will have made a serious statement and significantly improved Daniel Farke’s squad.
With Leeds in good form and good health at present, competition to be in Farke’s starting-XI is fierce. Below, the YEP has attempted to draw up a strongest possible line-up and substitute’s bench, should Strand Larsen join the current crop this month.
