Leeds United given huge fresh backing for Sunderland visit as strong Whites call is made

Leeds United face a quick return to Premier League action with Tuesday night’s visit of Sunderland.

Leeds United have been given huge fresh backing for Tuesday night’s visit of Sunderland amid a strong Whites call being made.

Daniel Farke’s men fell to a rare defeat under the Elland Road lights in Saturday evening’s visit of title-chasing Manchester City who left with a 1-0 success through Antoine Semenyo’s strike in first-half stoppage time.

Leeds now face a very quick return to Premier League action with Tuesday night’s visit of fellow newly-promoted side Sunderland who sit three positions ahead of Leeds in 12th place and six points clear of them.

The bookies, though, have given huge fresh backing to Farke’s Whites in making them odds-on favourites to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat with a victory against the Black Cats.

A strong call given Sunderland’s impressive season so far

In a very strong Leeds call given Sunderland’s impressive season so far, United are odds-on with every single firm in being no bigger than 19-20 but as short as 17-20 with some firms.

An injury-hit Sunderland side can be backed at 16-5 to leave LS11 with all three points and even the draw is on offer at 5-2.

With Black Cats striker Brian Brobbey among those out injured, Leeds also have the first five players in the anytime scorer market, clearly headed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 6-4 ahead of Lukas Nmecha at 23-10.

Wilson Isidor is seen as the chief Sunderland threat but is 16-5 as an anytime scorer.

The bookies think that one goal for Leeds might well be enough, a 1-0 win for the Whites favourite in the correct score market at 6-1 but only just ahead of a 1-1 draw at 13-2.
