Leeds United fans who made their way to Elland Road last night weren’t exactly treated to the Premier League classic. The Whites lost 1-0 at home to Sunderland in a game marred by controversy and filled with frustration.
Black Cats midfielder Habib Diarra won it with a second-half penalty but Leeds felt they should have had one spot-kick of their own for a foul on Pascal Struijk. Daniel Farke’s side were also frustrated by the game-management tactics of their injury-ravaged opponents.
Throughout it all, fans inside Elland Road showed their support for Farke’s side while making their feelings towards some decisions very clear. And some travelled from across the globe to get their Leeds fix.
