Fresh injury news has been provided for Leeds United’s Tuesday night visit of Sunderland for which seven players are now out and two more doubtful but with a key man expected back.
Newly-promoted pair Leeds and Sunderland will lock horns for the second time this season in Tuesday’s 7.30pm kick-off under the Elland Road lights, just over two months on from the 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light in the final game of 2025.
Both teams face tight turnarounds for Tuesday night’s fixture at LS11, Sunderland having faced the long trip to Bournemouth at the weekend for Saturday afternoon’s 3pm kick-off from which the Black Cats took a 1-1 draw.
Leeds were then in action on Saturday evening at home to Manchester City, Daniel Farke’s Whites putting in an excellent display against Pep Guardiola’s title-challengers yet ultimately falling to a 1-0 defeat.
Both teams had key players missing for their respective tests and Leeds in particular were dealt a couple of fresh blows in Saturday’s chaotic clash against City.
Sunderland, though, very much have it worse at present on the injuries front and here we run the final team news from both camps after the pre-match press conferences from Daniel Farke and Regis Le Bris.
