Date and UK kick-off time for Leeds United’s next pre-season friendly in America against Sunderland.

Leeds United will now take on Sunderland in the club’s second of three pre-season friendlies in America - but when actually is it and what is the UK kick-off time?

Daniel Farke’s Whites played Championship side Wrexham in their first friendly of the summer at the weekend in what was also their first game of three on the USA tour.

Leeds took on Wrexham at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday evening Eastern Time in a 7.30pm kick-off which meant the game taking place on a different day back home in the UK.

Causing plenty of confusion, it meant Leeds vs Wrexham was played in the early hours of Sunday morning UK time in a 12.30am kick-off, the contest eventually finishing at near enough 3am given two hydration breaks and added time.

Premier League opposition now awaits in United’s second pre-season friendly with a fixture against Sunderland at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.

Farke’s men face the Black Cats in another 7.30pm kick-off local time on Thursday, July 30 which means another early hours of the morning start in UK.

Like Tampa, New Jersey is also five hours behind the UK which means another 12.30am kick-off for the second friendly against Sunderland in the early hours of Friday, July 31.

Leeds then face Liverpool in their final friendly on Sunday in Chicago but the Reds clash is a 3pm kick-off local time meaning a Sunday evening 9pm start in the UK.
