Is Leeds United vs Sunderland on TV? Coverage details with huge new opportunity

Leeds United quickly resume their Premier League survival bid with this evening’s visit of Sunderland - but is the game on TV?

The Whites and Black Cats were promoted together from last season’s Championship but in very different circumstances, Leeds going up as champions and Sunderland breaking Sheffield United’s hearts with victory in a dramatic play-off final.

Sunderland were then among the favourites for relegation but the Black Cats enjoyed a storming start to life back in the Premier League, battling it out in the higher echelons of the division.

The team have, though, been gradually sliding down the table of late amid a stack of injuries although Sunderland remain six points and three places ahead of Leeds in 12th place.

Nonetheless, it all means that Leeds can close the gap to just three points with a victory from this evening’s 7.30pm kick-off which is being broadcast on TNT Sports 2.

Huge new opportunity in survival bid

With third-bottom West Ham not playing until tomorrow night, this evening’s game also presents Leeds with the huge new opportunity to kick nine points clear of the dropzone.

West Ham visit Fulham tomorrow in another 7.30pm kick-off.

Fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest also play tomorrow evening as they face the trip to title-chasing Manchester City, also in a 7.30pm start.

Fifth-bottom Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, play on Thursday night with a home clash against Crystal Palace who themselves are directly above 15th-placed Leeds but four points ahead of them.

But it all means a Whites win tonight would also send Leeds seven points clear of Forest and five ahead of Tottenham, albeit having played a game more.

Wolves v Liverpool is tonight’s main game on TNT Sports in an 8.15pm kick-off on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate.

In the night’s two other 7.30pm kick-offs, Everton v Burnley is on TNT Sports 3 and Bournemouth v Brentford on TNT Sports 4.
