Leeds United find themselves in the Premier League dropzone heading to Manchester City - and the supercomputer has delivered its verdict on where it thinks the Whites will now finish.
Daniel Farke’s Whites fell into the division’s dropzone for the first time this season last Saturday afternoon after a 3-0 win for Nottingham Forest at Liverpool and West Ham’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.
Those results left Leeds third-bottom, one point ahead of second-bottom Burnley and nine points clear of marooned Wolves but behind West Ham on goal difference and a point adrift of Forest.
Farke’s side needed at least a point from Sunday’s hosting of Aston Villa to get out of the bottom three but ultimately fell to a 2-1 defeat.
It’s left Leeds on 12 points after 12 games played and with matches against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool next.
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to City, the supercomputer from the team at data experts Opta have produced their new predicted final table and points as of Thursday morning.
Featuring big Leeds, Wolves, Forest and also Sunderland calls, here is the full new rundown in reverse order. Despite last weekend’s 1-0 loss at Fulham, Sunderland sit seventh but the supercomputer is forecasting a big Big Black cats drop...
