Leeds United welcomed their first January signing through the door last week with a summer target joining on loan. Facundo Buonanotte cut short his season-long Chelsea switch to join Daniel Farke’s side from Brighton, with the 21-year-old attacking midfielder watching Saturday’s 1-0 win over Fulham from the bench.
As reported by the YEP earlier this week, Elland Road attention is now on a new striker and an enquiry was made regarding Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen. A deal for the Norwegian would not be simple, however, with several Premier League clubs also interested and Leeds already at their three-year PSR spending limit.
To fund a potential move for Strand Larsen or any other striker target, Leeds might have to make some difficult decisions regarding members of their current attacking unit. Below, the YEP looks how those options could change between now and February if aforementioned top targets are pursued further.

1. KEEP: Noah Okafor
The Swiss international winger has been a little frustrating at times, following his £18m summer move from AC Milan, but has the star quality Leeds need going forward. Can operate either out wide or as a second striker, with his pace and trickery a good compliment for the physicality of a natural No.9, | Getty Images

2. KEEP: Brenden Aaronson
Could potentially have been sold in the summer had an opportunity to bank profit arrived, but after a difficult start to the season he's been excellent in recent weeks. Versatility is a big plus, too, with the American able to play across the frontline and in an attacking midfield role. | Getty Images

3. KEEP: Willy Gnonto
The kind of player Leeds could theoretically make a decent profit on, given he joined for just £4m, but there have been no suggestions he'll leave this month. In fact, there is a feeling among fans he deserves more minutes after some good appearances off the bench. | Getty Images

4. KEEP: Daniel James
Remains sidelined with a hamstring tendon injury but as a natural, touchline-hugging winger it's hard to see a place for the Welshman in Farke's starting-XI. A good option off the bench, however, if Leeds are chasing goals, with no suggestions of a January exit. | Michael Regan/Getty Images

5. LOANED: Largie Ramazani
Joined Valencia on a season-long loan in the summer but has struggled for regular football, thanks in part to injury. Leeds will hope he can kick on between now and May, returning to West Yorkshire in June. | Getty Images

6. LOANED: Jack Harrison
Joined Fiorentina on loan last week, having started just one Premier League game. Leeds will hope the winger can perform well enough for his loan club to trigger a £6m permanent option in the summer. | Getty Images
