Four sold, Muharemovic signed, new goalkeeper - Leeds United's dream defensive options for next season

A look at how Leeds United's goalkeeper and defensive groups could look if top recent transfers links are signed.

Leeds United look set for significant change among their goalkeeper and defensive ranks this summer. The Whites have already waved goodbye to a pair of 2025/26 regular starters, with Pascal Struijk joining Brighton and Hove Albion for £20million while confirmation of Karl Darlow’s free transfer to Manchester United is imminent.

There have also been recent reports of a possible Struijk replacement, with the YEP understanding Leeds hold an interest in Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemovic. A new first-choice goalkeeper is also on the shopping list with Parma’s Zion Suzuki and Manchester City’s James Trafford among those liked.

Leeds could also cash in on a couple of fringe options while cover is needed at left wing-back. Below, the YEP has looked at how the full defensive and goalkeeper unit could look next season if recruitment plans play out and some recently reported targets are landed.
