Manager meeting club hierarchy for talks over future after Leeds United battle

A manager’s future is in doubt fresh from a Leeds United battle.

Nuno Espirito Santo is set for talks with West Ham’s hierarchy following Sunday’s victory against Leeds United but ultimately Premier League relegation.

Santo replaced Graham Potter as Irons boss at the end of September after Potter was sacked but the Hammers went into Sunday’s final day of the season needing fourth-bottom Tottenham to lose to Everton to stand any chance of avoiding the drop.

West Ham needed both a Toffees victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and also a win themselves against Leeds to pull off a final day great escape but a 1-0 win for Spurs ended any hopes of survival.

West Ham filled their end of their bargain with a 3-0 victory against Leeds but the damage had been done and Sky Sports News are now reporting that Santo is in talks with the club’s hierarchy today regarding his future at the club.
