Key Leeds United rivals have been boosted in their bid for Premier League survival, leading to a fresh Leeds United verdict in the supercomputer’s new predicted final table and points.
Leeds kicked nine points clear of the division’s relegation zone with Friday night’s 3-1 victory at home to Nottingham Forest which left the Whites nine points ahead of third-bottom West Ham but played a game more than the Irons.
West Ham, though, then gave themselves much-needed boost by bagging all three points from Saturday afternoon’s game in hand at second-bottom Burnley as goals from ex-Leeds star Crysencio Summerville and Taty Castellanos sealed a 2-0 success.
The victory left the gap between the Whites and Hammers as it was at the start of the weekend but with Leeds now three points ahead of Forest who themselves are now only three points ahead of West Ham.
Leeds, though, now find themselves level on points with Tottenham on the same amount of games played after another blow for Spurs on Saturday afternoon via a 2-0 defeat at Manchester United.
Like Leeds and Spurs, Crystal Palace also sit on 29 points but the Eagles have played a game less and take in their game in hand at Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
After the new fresh twists, the supercomputer from data experts Opta has now produced its new predicted final table and points and a fresh Leeds verdict.
Here, in reverse order, is the full new rundown.
