"I feel" - Willy Gnonto makes declaration about Leeds United future and outlines aim
Willy Gnonto has been speaking to the media ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Willy Gnonto has made a beaming Leeds United declaration and outlined his Whites future hope ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Gnonto joined the Whites back in September 2022 and played a key role in helping the Whites to promotion as Championship champions but the Italian made just four Premier League starts upon the club’s return to the top flight.
Gnonto, though, has declared that being a Whites player is a “privilege”, the winger declaring himself as now feeling “proper Leeds” and hoping there are many more enjoyable moments for him at the club to come.
The 22-year-old has also saluted United’s efforts in surviving their first season back in the Premier League - the Italian attacker now outlining the aim to build on last season’s 15th-placed finish in the second season back.
“Hopefully there are going to be many more”
“I think, obviously, being at Leeds is a privilege,” said Gnonto, as quoted by Leeds United’s official website.
“I have been here for a long time and being in the Premier League as well is a big challenge, so I would say we just have to build on this.
“We did well last season but we want to get even better. Being a part of it is good for me and I try to enjoy every moment.
“It is such a family oriented, I want to say, club in a way. Everyone makes you feel so comfortable. I came here, I was quite young as well, so everyone just took care of me, whether it was staff, whether it was players and obviously the fans as well.
“So, I would say I feel like I feel proper Leeds now. I just enjoy every single person here, enjoy every moment and hopefully there are going to be many more.”
