One of Leeds United’s struggling Premier League rivals are preparing an approach to a Championship club for their boss.
Leeds United’s struggling Premier League rivals Wolves are reportedly preparing to approach a Championship club for the services of their boss.
Wolves have endured a desperate start to the season and manager Vitor Pereira was sacked following Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Fulham which left the Molineux outfit on just two points at the bottom of the table.
Wolves then entered talks with former manager Gary O’Neil about a return to the Molineux hotseat but O’Neil withdrew from the running.
Manager had four years with the club as a player
According to Sky Sports, the club are now reportedly preparing to approach Middlesbrough for permission to speak to head coach Rob Edwards about their managerial vacancy.
Boro sit third in the Championship table, one point behind Stoke City in the division’s second automatic promotion spot. Edwards spent four years with Wolves as a player between 2004 and 2008.
