Leeds United sit two points clear of the Premier League dropzone - but data experts Opta are now forecasting a big Whites change in their new predicted final table and points.
Daniel Farke’s Whites took themselves out of the bottom three with Wednesday night’s brilliant 3-1 win at home to Chelsea and then picked up another point with Saturday evening’s amazing 3-3 draw at home to Liverpool.
The draw against the Reds also took Leeds above Nottingham Forest on goal difference, Farke’s men sitting 16th and three points clear of third-bottom West Ham as of Saturday’s close of play.
West Ham then travelled to Brighton the following day, at which point data experts Opta had Leeds down for a 17th-placed finish in their new predicted final table.
The Hammers went 1-0 up at Brighton but were dealt a late blow as Georginio Rutter bagged a 91st-minute equaliser to seal a 1-1 draw.
The result left the Irons third-bottom and two points behind both Leeds and Forest who then saw 15th-placed Fulham suffer a 2-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
Defeat for Fulham left the Cottagers just two points ahead of Forest and Leeds as part of a good weekend of results for Farke’s side.
Saturday also saw second-bottom Burnley suffer a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle United which left the Clarets five points behind Leeds and Forest.
Rock bottom Wolves were then last to play on Monday night and their miserable season continued with a 4-1 loss at home to Manchester United.
With Game Week 15 now completed, Opta have updated their predicted final table which now features a Leeds shock and surprising Wolves verdict considering that the Molineux outfit currently have just two points.
Here, in reverse order, is the full new rundown.
