Leeds United's brilliant message and artwork for Whites quartet at 2026 World Cup with Raphinha appearance
Leeds United have four players heading to the World Cup which finally starts tonight.
Leeds United have produced more brilliant artwork with a message to their four players representing their countries at the World Cup.
Brenden Aaronson (USA), Gabi Gudmundsson (Sweden), Noah Okafor (Switzerland) and Ao Tanaka (Japan) are all part of their country’s squads at the 2026 FIFA World Cup which begins on Thursday evening as co-hosts Mexico face South Africa in the Group A opener.
Ahead of the competition finally getting underway, Leeds United have produced another brilliant social media graphic with a message to their World Cup bound quartet.
In it, Aaronson, Gudmundsson, Okafor and Tanaka are all seated on a plane with Gudmundsson, Okafor and Tanaka holding the competition’s three mascots of Clutch the Bald Eagle for the USA, Maple the Moose for Canada and Zayu the Jaguar for Mexico.
Aaronson meanwhile holds an official match ball on a plane featuring a crate of Red Bulls on the floor.
But eagle eyed viewers have also spotted a former Whites star in the background, Raphinha seated a few rows behind and next to a pilot who very much resembles Whites keeper Alex Cairns.
Together with the artwork, Leeds United wrote: “Wishing Ao, Brenden, Gabi and Noah all the best ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup.”
