Scotland's hidden tribute to Leeds United legend Billy Bremner after historic World Cup win
A nice touch 👏
Scotland fans have been celebrating after the men’s national team secured a win in their first World Cup game in 28 years.
The Scots ground out a nervy 1-0 victory over Haiti on Saturday night to give the Tartan Army their first victory at the global showpiece since Andy Roxburgh’s team defeated Sweden 2-1 in the group stage at Italia 90.
And the winning side has posted a message in honour of Leeds United legend Billy Bremner following the victory.

In a video shared on social media, the Scotland National Team revealed an away jersey - matching the shirts worn by the team during the game - with Bremner’s famous motto ‘side before self, every time’ hidden inside.
The mantra of the Scottish midfielder, who captained Leeds during their glory years of the 1960s and 1970s, has long been adopted by Whites fans, and is engraved on the statue in his honour outside Elland Road.
One fan said: “I’ve got to have this kit. Leeds United legend!”
In the Scots’ first game on the big stage since 1998, midfielder John McGinn fired them ahead in Boston with a deflected strike after 28 minutes.
Morocco and Brazil drew 1-1 in New Jersey earlier in the day, which means Scotland top the group with three points going into the second fixture against AFCON champions at the same venue next Friday - before travelling to Miami to face the Brazilians on June 24 and looking to qualify for the knockout stages for the first time.
