'Tomorrow will be a good day' - Leeds United and Everton pay respects to Sir Captain Tom Moore

LEEDS United paid tribute to Sir Captain Tom Moore before Wednesday night's Premier League clash against Everton at Elland Road.

Keighley-born war veteran Sir Tom raised nearly £33m million for NHS charities after walking 100 laps of his garden ahead of his 100th birthday during the first national lockdown last April.

The retired Army officer passed away aged 100 on Tuesday after contracting coronavirus.

With an image of Sir Tom on the large screen accompanied by the title of his book 'Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day'; Leeds and Everton conducted a minute's applause as the big screen showed images of fans giving Sir Tom a Leeds salute.
