Where Leeds United sit in 2025/26 Premier League net spend table

This Premier League net spend table shows where Leeds United and their rivals finished in the transfer spending stakes

The 2025/26 Premier League season was quite the surprise in many senses, but this net spend table highlights why things went the way they did.

Leeds United, for their part, did the unthinkable and survived relegation comfortably and well before the last day of the season.

Considering the previous two campaigns had seen the newly promoted sides immediately relegated at the first attempt, Daniel Farke's men did a great job of finishing 14th, eight points clear of West Ham, who were relegated in 18th. Leeds spent £100.1m, recouped £8.6m, for a net spend of £91.5m.

Arsenal, of course, won the Premier League for the first time since the Invincibles went unbeaten in the 2003/04 campaign. The Gunners held off a late challenge from Manchester City to triumph.

The context for Arsenal's win is that their net spend was the highest across the last two transfer windows. Spending a whopping £263m, they only received £12.9m back, leaving a net spend of £250m for the 2025/26 season.

For all the talk of Liverpool's demise despite spending £442m, it's worth remembering they recouped £207m and were second behind Arsenal with a net spend of £235m.

This was still £69m more than Manchester United's net spend, while Man City came in just under £100m below the Reds.

Leeds weren't the top spenders of the newly-promoted sides, with Sunderland taking that gong after spending £156m, recouping £37m, for a net spend of £119m.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United had a rough season despite spending £252m, bringing in £157m, with a net spend of £95m.

With all of this in mind, let's take a look below at this Premier League net spend table brought to us by Stake.
