West Yorkshire League - Waterlogged pitch puts Saints’ title march on ice
Beeston St Anthony’s pursuit of the Premier crown was put on hold after their scheduled fixture fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.
In total, only three games were played in the West Yorkshire League’s top flight.

Christopher Simpson pulled a goal back in the second half for third-placed Boroughbridge but it wasn’t enough to deny hosts Horbury Town a 2-1 victory.
Bridge, however, hold a two-point gap over Town and still have a game in hand.

Fifth-place Huddersfield Amateur were given a good run for their money by lower-placed visitors Robin Hood Athletic before prevailing 3-2.
James Finlayson was on target for Athletic.
Hunslet managed to keep in contact with visitors Headingley up to half-time when the sides were locked at one apiece.
William Kelly added a second goal to Jonathan McKinley’s first-half strike, however, and Headingley were able to hold on to their advantage for the remaining 20 minutes or so.

In Division 1, G&C Hartshead crashed 4-1 at third-placed Kirk Deighton Rangers, allowing leaders Rawdon OB to open a six-point gap after their 5-0 win at Shelley.
Goals from Craig Hall, Robert Holliday, Samuel Murphy and Harvey Ribbons turned a 1-1 half-time scoreline into victory for Kirk Deighton, while Tom McMillan (2), Craig Nicholls (2) and Sam Boldy were on target for Rawdon.
Wetherby Atheltic were hit for six by lower-placed visitors Poole AFC. The 6-1 result included a hat-trick for Joshua Wagstaff and further goals for Jack Farrimond, Jordan Wagstaff and Josh Waite, while Joshua Wilson netted the second-half consolation goal for Athletic.
David Kerr grabbed the all-important goal as fourth-plaed hosts Wyke Wanderers edged out Aberford Albion 1-0.
Kellingley Welfare First kept the pressure on the top two in Division 2 with a 5-0 home win over sixth-placed Leeds Modernians.
Brandon Cummings, Joshua Johnson, Regan Fish and sub’ Stuart Garbutt were on target for the hosts who are one point behind second-place Swillington Saints Welfare First and three off leaders Brighouse Sports - with a game in hand.
Saints dropped points in a 3-1 home defeat to Brighouse, Daniel Hall netting for the hosts and Luke Cranswick, Ciaran McFarland and substitute Brendan Patterson hitting the goals for Sports.
Fourth-placed Old Centralians First made light work of bottom club Howden Clough, beating the visitors 4-0, while ninth-placed Overthorpe Sports Club First turned the table on visiting Laund Hill FC First - fifth on the ladder - by the same scoreline. Incredibly, a third host club, Rothwell Juniors First also notched a 4-0 victory. Joshua Jackson (2), Daniel Walker and Benjamin Andrew struck for Rothwell in their win over Ripon City First, a side that sits one place above them in the standings.
In Alliance Division 1, Headingley AFC held sway 4-2 at Aberford Albion, Robin Hood Athletic shot down Otley Town 4-1 and Hall Green United came through 3-2 at Salts after the sides had been deadlocked one apiece at half-time.
Boroughbridge’s home game with Huddersfield Amateur was postponed.
