Castleford Tigers prospect makes loan move to Leeds-based Championship side Hunslet RLFC
Hunslet RLFC have signed a teenage forward on loan from Castleford Tigers.
Sam Grice, 19, will spend the rest of the season with Leeds-based Betfred Championship club. The back-rower has yet to make his Betfred Super League debut, but had a two-game spell on loan at then-League One outfit Workington Town last year.
He was Tigers’ academy players’ player of the year in 2025 and has featured for the reserves this term. Tigers director of rugby Chris Chester said: “This loan will allow Sam to get some valuable game time under his belt in a good competition and help his rugby league development by playing senior rugby on a regular basis.”

Hunslet are 15th in the 20-team second-tier and were forced to field an under-strength pack in yesterday’s (Sunday) 48-0 home defeat to Widnes Vikings after several loan players were recalled by Doncaster. Grice could make his debut away to Workington this weekend.
